The following things happen in an average week at Mount Chapel:

Mums and Toddlers
Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9.45am – 11.00am
During term times we run a group for families and their pre-school age children. All are welcome from the local community.

Mount Chapel FC
Tuesday night, times vary
Our five-a-side team plays in a local league on Tuesday evenings.

CALL
Wednesday, 2.00pm
CALL is a local charity providing emotional support for those living with cancer alongside those closest to them, friends, family and carers. The group meet in Mount Chapel on Wednesday afternoons.

Home Groups
Wednesday and Thursday nights, times vary
Each week we meet in small groups to study the Bible, encourage, support, pray and enjoy each other’s company. There is always space in groups for new members!

Bethesda Healing Rooms
Saturday, 11.00am – 1.00pm
Bethesda Healing Rooms is a place you can come and receive prayer for any physical problems you may have. We are open every Saturday morning and no appointment is necessary.

Services
Sunday, 10.45am and 7.00pm
We gather together twice on Sunday to meet with God through worship, communion, preaching and fellowship. On Sunday morning there is a full program of kids work. Occasionally these services have baptisms, dedications or form part of a wider conference weekend. The services are open and welcoming and the Elders are available after each service to answer questions, pray with you and introduce you to members of the church community.

Prayer
Monday to Friday, 9.30am – 10.30am
A daily time of prayer at Mount Chapel for our church, our friends, our communities and beyond.

The church is also involved in the following on-going ministries:

Boaz Night Shelter
Thursdays, November to April
Mount Chapel works with the Boaz Trust to provide a weekly night shelter for the homeless and destitute. Throughout the harshest months of the year we open up the Church as a place of refuge and give those who have nothing a place to sleep and some decent food to eat.

Friends of Chernobyl’s Children
Summer months
For the past five years we have supported a charity called Friends of Chernobyl’s Children. Each year the charity brings a group of children from Belarussia to stay with families from the Church for a month, the trip radically enhances their health as they are taken from their homes where they live in the dangerously polluted aftermath of the Chernobyl disaster.

Wednesday Fellowship
Alternate Wednesday afternoons
Every other wednesday we lead an afternoon service of singing and reflection at the Beechfield Lodge.

Alpha Course
Twice annually
We run our own versions of the successful Alpha course to help individuals discover more about the Christian faith for themselves, at their own pace in a non-threatening environment.

Weekend Away
Annually
Once a year the church goes on a weekend away to seek God together and grow as a fellowship. We invite a guest speaker and meet together at a retreat centre, play sports, relax, drink tea and eat well!

Deborah Arise
Saturday Mornings
Deborah Arise is an initiative startedto encourage women to pray for young people to become passionate about Jesus and share this passion with their peers. Women meet weekly in pairs and the whole group meets every few months for prayer, praise and encouragement.

Prayer Chain
Whenever needed
At Mount Chapel we have a prayer chain of those committed to praying at short notice for emergency situations. If you have a matter for the prayer chain do let us know so we can pray with you.

First Sunday
First Sunday of each month
A monthly celebration of who Jesus is with members of Langworthy Community Church and other churches in the city. Worship, praise, encouragement, challenge and ministry in an informal atmosphere.

Mission Focus
Sunday afternoons, once quarterly
We support full time missionaries in France, India, Zimbabwe and the UK while many of our members undertake short term mission work. Mission Focus is a platform for our community to learn about what God is doing in the world.

If you like to learn more about any of the ministries at Mount Chapel or would like to volunteer then come speak to one of the Elders after church on Sunday or use the contact form to get in touch. We also welcome fresh expressions of Christ’s love, if you have an idea then we would love to hear it and see if it is right for the church to support and get involved in.
